On August 9 and 10, 2022, the Amazonia 2.0 team accompanied the European Union delegation in Peru on a visit to the department of Ucayali.
On August 9, International Day of Indigenous Peoples, the #Countdown80x25 officially began, through an event broadcast on social networks and the start of the clock that marked the 1,239 days remaining to meet the global goal of protecting 80% of the Amazon by 2025.
During the months of June and July 2022, the Amazonia 2.0 project carried out multiple activities, including participation in national and regional events, meetings with strategic allies and training workshops.
On July 11th and 12th, 2022, a Regional Workshop on Governance, Management and Indigenous Territorial Law, organized by COICA and IUCN South America through the Amazonia 2.0 project, was held at the Hotel Quito in Quito, Ecuador.
