III Amazonia 2.0 Webinar
As part of the social-technological platform of the AmazonIa 2.0 project and its strategy of collective learning, our III Public Webinar was held on August 26th. On this occasion the planning of the seminar was carried out by the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication, and had as its theme: "The strategic role of communication in nature conservation: Experiences from South America".
The event was brilliantly moderated by Ana Julia Gómez, a member of the CEC. It also had the interesting participation of:
- Eliana Garzón, head of communications at Fundación Natura, Colombia; with her presentation "The strategic role of communication in intercultural environmental processes".
- Bruno Monteferri, Director of Conservamos por Naturaleza, Peru; with his presentation "Campaigns to involve citizens in conservation actions".
- Magdalena Muñoz, specialist in stakeholder involvement and participation; and Lorena Gavilanes, technical expert in communication, public relations and media; both from the PROAMAZONIA project, Ecuador; with their presentation "PROAmazonía: Inclusive Communication for Stakeholder Involvement".
More than 250 people from 22 countries participated in the seminar, mainly from Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Ecuador.
