A2.0 present: World Youth Summit

Amazonia 2.0 was present at the World Youth Summit, held within the framework of the World Conservation Congress, from April 6 to 15, 2021, in a digital format that brought together more than 10 thousand participants from all corners of the world.

The World Youth Summit aimed to strengthen connections between young leaders and their global networks, fostering interdisciplinary learning, providing a space for conservation storytelling, and fueling the growth of the global youth-led nature and climate movement.

Amazonia 2.0 had different participations in the Summit. First, A2.0 was part at the Opening Ceremony, through the talent of Gasel, a young rapper representing the local communities where the project works in Atalaya Peru. His song "el Rap del Veedor" (the Monitor´s Rap) was part of the opening video of the event, in minutes 6:25-6:50 (see video).

Subsequently, the complete music video of Gasel's song was available at the Summit Film Festival, held from April 9 to 11. At this same Film Festival, the animated short film "Amazon Connection" was also available, allowing us to reach a global youth audience.
